Bringing a puppy in to the family can be a very stressful time, especially for the puppy! So many new faces, new smells and so much to learn!

Here at Great and Small we have developed a range of Puppy Packages to support you and your new family member all the way from day one to the terrible teens.
​
These training classes and programmes are designed around teaching young puppies the social basics, key skills and essential knowledge that will help them stay safe and build a solid foundation for them to grow from.

Puppy Preschool
Puppy Preschool has been designed from the ground up to give a puppy the strongest possible foundations on their training journey.
​
It is a personalised programme that caters to your own and your puppies needs, taking into account everything from the breed to your individual training goals.
​
Some basics stay the same and include things like getting through the terrible teething phase, teaching them acceptable socialization with both people and dogs, basic impulse control and the starting of their key skills - wait, leave, drop, down, settle, sit, stay and recall.
​
This is a 4-week programme for 8 to 12-week puppies, with a focus on essential skills to keep you and your puppy safe when out in the world.

Puppy Primary
Puppy Primary is a 6 week one to one training course designed from the ground up for puppies between 12 weeks and 6 months. The course is built to give you all the support and guidance you need to get past those early training hurdles, from chewing and good sleep patterns to basic manners with other dogs and impulse control.
We'll be covering some key training skills through this course like Wait, Leave It, drop, Recall and even the essential Emergency Stop. This is a busy, energetic course with a lot crammed in, but we hope it's as fun as it is educational!
