Welcome to Puppy Primary!

Puppy Primary is our one-stop introduction to the messy world of raising a puppy. We teach this course in a small, friendly and fun group, working through the foundational skills you and your puppy need to build a well rounded, happy adult dog.

Over the 6 weeks of the course, we start off with basic obedience cues like sit, wait & down, and then progress those skills, building to essentials like leadwalking and recall.

We'll also be covering how to manage the most common hurdles in raising a puppy. Everything from teething to chewing to the basics of consent-based handling. By the end of this course we'll have set you up with the foundational skills you need to raise a well rounded, social, engaged puppy... Right in time for their Terrible Teens.

This course has been designed from the ground up by our Behaviourist Laura Gault and is run by her and Trainer Adam. With two trainers, we're able to provide one-on-one support throughout the class for each exercise. Utilising her experience and knowledge from nearly two decades of dog training, we ensure each week both you and your new puppy are getting the very best teaching and training.

You'll even get a copy of our "Puppy Owners Handbook" via email, split in to chapters to go alongside our weekly Saturday classes. This covers everything we do in the classes, and is packed with all the training techniques, alongside a host other tips and tricks to make the rollercoaster of puppyhood just a little more manageable - whether it's your first or your thirtieth.

Our Classes are held at Peacehaven Dog on a Saturday morning at 10:15am.

At each class we also bring the Valhalla Feasting Hall, with a huge range of chews and treats carefully selected and tested by our very own Valhalla Hounds. Everything is chosen to be puppy-safe, so you can stock up and keep them occupied without concern. Pick up something from our store, head home, and watch as they sink their teeth in until they pass out.... Then go and enjoy a quiet afternoon!
